FAQs:
What is a Vitamin Injection and how does it work? A vitamin injection is the administration of vitamins and nutrients by needle into your muscle. Vitamin Injections deliver nutrients directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the digestive system. These nutrients are pushed directly into cells where they can be more effectively utilized by the body. This is why injections can be more effective than ingesting vitamins and supplements since shots bypass the first-pass metabolism which can make the oral supplement less effective.
What is IV Hydration therapy and how does it work? IV Hydration is a treatment that delivers fluids (such as vitamins, electrolytes and antioxidants) directly into your bloodstream through a small IV, bypassing the digestive system, which allows for absorption more quickly and completely than fluids or supplements taken orally.
What happens during my initial visit?
During your initial visit:
You will fill out two sets of forms; the first set collects your medical history and the second set explains the procedure, possible benefits/risks and allows you to consent for treatment.
After your forms are complete, your vitals will be taken and you will speak with our practitioner to discuss your wellness goals. Our practitioner will answer your questions and review your medical history to make sure the boost and/or IV treatment is safe for you.
Vitamin Boost: If you’d like to proceed, you will receive the shot. We will observe you for 15 minutes to make sure you don’t have an adverse reaction to the shot. Note, during subsequent visits you will not be observed after your shot.
IV Hydration: If you’d like to proceed, you will be taken to a private suite for the IV Hydration treatment you selected.
How long does the IV Hydration treatment take? Most of our IV treatments last 45-60 minutes, depending on your vein, IV catheter size, treatment selected and health history.
Which Vitamin Boost injection or IV Hydration Treatment is right for me? During your initial consultation, you and our medical provider will discuss your treatment goals, your health history, possible benefits and risks to determine which Boost and/or IV Hydration cocktail will be best for you.
Can I get an IV Hydration treatment and Vitamin Boost injection on the same day? Yes, Vitamin Boost injections are a great add-on to your IV Hydration Therapy.
What should I do to prepare for my IV Hydration appointment? For best results, drink plenty of water and consume a small meal prior to your appointment.
How will I feel after my IV Hydration treatment? Most clients report an immediate burst of energy after their infusion. A small number of clients feel fatigue later that evening due to the body detoxing itself. By the following morning, fatigue subsides and they report feeling GREAT!
It’s my first time getting IV Hydration Therapy. What will the experience be like? You’ll get to enjoy your treatment in a private room. There will be a slight pinch when the IV needle is inserted. Then you can sit back and relax. You’ll likely feel refreshed before the treatment is done and reap the full benefits about 2 to 4 hours after your treatment.
I want to get an IV Hydration treatment with my friend/spouse/family member. Is that possible? Yes. You can book our Duo Drip so you and one other person can receive treatment together in a private suite.
Can everyone get IV Hydration therapy? We do NOT provide IV Hydration Therapy to minors under the age of 18 or anyone who is currently pregnant or breastfeeding. Certain medical conditions such as heart, liver or kidney problems can also disqualify you from receiving IV Hydration Therapy. Patients undergoing chemotherapy are not eligible to receive IV Hydration treatment unless authorized by your oncologist. As stated above, your medical history will be reviewed prior to beginning treatment to ensure you are a candidate for IV Hydration therapy.
